Here is the essence of what it is to be an Armed Peacemaker:   


The value of human life is immeasurable.   


It is written in the Holy Bible that life is precious, that we are to rescue the weak and needy and deliver them from the hand of the wicked (Psalms 82:4).  We are to take care of widows and orphans (James 1:27).  We are to rescue those who are being taken away to death and pull back those who are being taken to slaughter (Proverbs 24:11).  I’d argue that sometimes that entails stopping violence with violence.   


The balance comes in when we are also supposed to love our enemies (Matthew 5:44), be quick to forgive (Colossians 3:13), and if possible, live at peace with everyone (Romans 12:18).   


G-d has a history of blessing warriors (Exodus 15:3). Jesus tells His disciples to be armed (Luke 22:35-36).  We are supposed to protect the weak and the afflicted among others (Psalm 82:3).  We achieve this by training in righteousness and, if necessary, using the tool of violence when put into an unavoidable violent confrontation.   


Remember, it is your moral obligation to be ready for conflict.
