Gunfight Diagnostics

You've learned a bunch of things in Live-fire classes. You've put in the reps practicing. You learned some more things using sims so that you could work in an environment that isn't just a square range. You did some scenario-based Force on Force to quiz your tactics and skills.

Is there a gap in that progression? Yes!

This force-on-force class could be compared to sparring at your local martial arts gym. Gunfighting is the only martial art that is considered standard protocol, to attend class, practice the Kata, and once in a while for about 5% of students, go to a controlled match against someone else and be considered ready for a life and death street fight.

Every other martial art features sparring against a resisting opponent as the most prominent time and energy commitment as part of their progression. This class is offering the same opportunity to practitioners of the only American Martial Art.

We will use force-on-force training to find the gaps in your training. We will evaluate every nuance of the Kata that is practiced on the flat range. This is NOT scenario-based. While that offers an immensely valuable lesson in decision-making and mindset, it barely touches on tactics and skills with its limited repetitions. This is not instructional per-se, as there are no strict blocks of instruction. It is designed to be the equivalent of sparring, with heavy amounts of hands-on coaching. There is a set course of situations that will have copious amounts of repetitions with the opportunity to continually evaluate and evolve one's skill set and tactics.

Due to the high round count, UTM will NOT be utilized for this class. Although it is the superior option for any FoF training, consumable costs would make this class much too expensive to put on. Instead, we will use Airsoft, which has some limitations but will afford the students the opportunity for copious amounts of reps. ( Round count will be 800+ per student).

Students will need to bring EDC support gear to fit a Glock 17. (Holster, mag pouches) a full face mask that is ASTM F1776 certified and typical clothing as worn every day.

In addition, there is a night shoot. Bring a handheld flashlight. You may bring a pistol light if it will fit a G17 and you have a holster for that combo.
