Course Details
Defensive Handgun 2 is not a class for beginners seeking their Concealed Handgun License, but rather to teach Concealed Handgun License Holders the skills, attitude, mindset and gear necessary to carry a concealed pistol in public, without drawing unnecessary attention to oneself.
Topics included will consist of:
-Proper presentation from concealment
-Proper retention while using public restrooms
-Being boringly invisible
-Verbal Judo
-Defensive posturing
-Avoidance
-De-escalation
-Verbal escalation
-Managing unknown contacts
-Not getting selected by violent criminal attackers (VCA's)
-Proper greeting of police and first responders
-Fighting in a 360 world
-Stoppage reduction drills
-Reloads
-Getting off the "X"

-Reliable Handgun .380 Auto and or .38 Special or above. People with hand and arm strength issues may bring a .22LR should they feel as if they are unsafe with the calibers recommended.
-Quality leather or kydex strongside (3 to 4 o'clock), pocket, ankle or appendix holster. NO SEPRA type holsters (security holsters with trigger finger releases) permitted unless issued and mandated by a law enforcement agency or military branch.
-Magazine or speed loader pouches
-Three magazines. If capacity is less than ten, bring four magazines. If using a revolver, four speed loaders or speed strips or a combination thereof.
-Eye and Ear Protection
-Hat
-200 rounds of quality factory ammunition
-Pants or shorts with belt loops, shirts with high colors (ejecting brass always makes their place at home in between low-cut shirts)
-Belt designed to carry the weight of the handgun and ammunition
-Concealment garment
